Overview
The DPR Korea Premier Football League, also known as the 1bu Ryu Ch'ukgu Ryŏnmangjŏn, is the top-level men's football league in North Korea. It is overseen by the Korea Football Association (KFA).
Format
The league typically consists of 12 to 14 teams, with the season running from spring to autumn. Teams play each other twice, once at home and once away. The team with the highest points at the end of the season is crowned the champion.
Recent Season (2021-2022)
The 2021-2022 season of the DPRK Premier Football League concluded on October 28. Pyongyang FC emerged as the champions, securing their second consecutive league title. The KFA oversees the league system, including the Premier Football League, the women's national football team, and the national football team.
