Turbulence Causes Chaos, Launches Passengers and Objects

Boeing 777-300ER Encounters Severe Turbulence

One person has died and at least 71 others were injured on board a Singapore Airlines plane that encountered severe turbulence on a flight from London to Singapore. The flight SQ321 took off from Heathrow at 1038 pm Local time on Monday with 211 passengers and 18 crew members.

Witnesses described the incident as "terrifying," with passengers and objects being thrown around the cabin. The plane was flying over the Bay of Bengal when it hit a patch of rough air.

The injured passengers were taken to hospitals in Singapore, where they are being treated for injuries ranging from minor cuts and bruises to more serious head and neck injuries. The cause of the turbulence is still under investigation.

This incident highlights the dangers of air travel and the importance of wearing seatbelts at all times. It also serves as a reminder that even the most experienced pilots can be caught off guard by unexpected weather conditions.
