From Player to Coach

Stephen Sarkisian, born March 8, 1974, is an American football coach and former player who currently serves as the head coach at the University of Texas at Austin. Sarkisian's football journey began as a player at El Camino College, where he played quarterback and earned All-American honors.

Finding Success as a Coach

Sarkisian's coaching career took off when he became the offensive coordinator for the Washington Huskies in 2009. He later moved to the USC Trojans, where he served as head coach from 2014 to 2015. After a stint as the offensive coordinator for the Atlanta Falcons, Sarkisian returned to the college ranks in 2020 as the offensive coordinator for the Alabama Crimson Tide.

A New Chapter at Texas

In 2021, Sarkisian was named the head football coach at the University of Texas at Austin. Ahead of the upcoming season, Sarkisian is focusing on the small victories and building a team that reflects his own personality.
